Sterling, A Big Threat At The World Cup

Everyone is in that world cup mood and i thought I'd just drop this piece on Raheem Sterling. A very fascinating player I must say.

Look at the England squad today. Very good breed of players. Back then it was always about the big names, Old players, the big club players and all. Roy obviously don't want that and judging from his selection, he probably believes in the young ones.

With hungry and "i want to prove myself to the world" players like Sterling, Sturridge, Barkley, Lallana, Henderson, Cahill and shot stopper, Joe Hart, I see England going past the 2nd round. Even if they will be kicked out, I feel it will be in the Q/Finals.

Raheem Sterling to me will definitely be instrumental to the team. All that speed and quick feet. He looks like that player that will explode in this tournament giving the right push and motivation. Although, there are rumors he might be playing the number 10 role at the World Cup, I don’t believe it’s going to be difficult for young Sterling at all. I see him doing the job perfectly well. Under the management of Brendan Rogers for his club side, Sterling has been tested from diverse roles and he has delivered pretty well. Rogers on the other hand, has really done a good job on Sterling.

Sterling has often proven himself in big games. Against Arsenal, Tottenham, Man City, Everton and Man Utd. The lad is a low-key genius and this tournament might just be what he needs to show the world that he's not just an overrated English boy.

More so, Sterling form has been growing tremendously well since last year.. so it’s a good thing the World Cup is here now.

What amazes me about this guy is the way he creates space for himself on the pitch. I know he's young but the coach shouldn't undermine his abilities. Young Sterling can be reckless at times but I'm sure he has learnt his lesson in that friendly match with Ecuador so the coach shouldn't think that as an excuse not to play him. 

I believe they'd come good against the Italians.. Yes the Italians have good midfielders but England have better wingers. They should just use it to their advantage..
