My Say On The Manchester United VS Liverpool Game
By Adedayo Ayodele
Fam they had just won 0-3 away to West Brom prior to playing Liverpool; confidence was flowing, and Rooney/Felaini, and heck even Cleverley were doing well. They really seemed to have found that quality within themselves, and started to believe.
And then come Liverpool. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! They totally outplayed United, and made them look as useless as 11 Cleverley's. Not just a case of United playing poorly. Just they were just dominated and the difference in class were as transparent as black ink on a white paper.
Rogers has to be a truly world-class manager now, for having done this to a side that struggled in the league and all competitions 2 years ago.
I just love his philosophy of playing. Hate to compare, but his side's movement, and passing, and the calmness on the ball is so similar to Arsenal's Invincibles.
This Liverpool have transformed immensely..
I really don't wanna criticise Manchester United's transfer policy but I just cannot fathom why Moyes would want either Fellaini or Mata at United, and both for pretty much the same reason.
Fellaini was the subject of rave reviews at Everton but every time I saw him play a starring role it was always off the striker playing to his aerial strengths, but plays there for Utd!
Juan Mata was player of the season his first season at Chelsea playing off the striker in a free role or on the left but free to move, and was player of the year the second year because Hazard and Oscar played off him and did a lot of defensive work.
Point being, to get the performances out of these two players needed to justify their fees and wages, they both have to play in the same position, Rooneys!!! now I'm obviously not an authority on squad building or strategy, (8yrs of pro evo and fifa my only experience), but am I confused with these signings because I'm ignorant or because anyone with a brain would be?
BTW I'm serious, i don't know which and if anyone has ideas on how Rooney, Fellaini and Mata could succesfully combine on the pitch( so that each ones performances individually merits their wages and ability) please drop a reply I'm eager to learn....

I love this.
ReplyDeleteWell.. Its gonna be hard but its possible. Carrick(playing deep) and Fellaini(playing the role of a box to box midfielder) in the midfield. Mata playing behind van persie. Kagawa on the left wing. and rooney allowed to roam free.
ReplyDeleteThey are not yet at the level of the invicibles....... I am tempted to go with Taiwo's 2 pivot midfield but to play rooney and RVP,I don't think that would work.it should be 4 man midfield with carrick sitting, two wingers in valencia and januzaj and mata at the top of the diamond, then RVP and Rooney completes it up top. I think that is the best
