Lack Of Depth !!

Manchester City vs Chelsea

Cracking game of football last night. Both City and Chelsea can be proud of those performances, a great advert for the premier league. Looks like Chelsea have a great player in Matic - makes you wonder why they sold him in the first place. Navas looks a bargain too, he's making miracles happen!

Mourinho (love him or hate him) proved again why he's probably is the best manager/coach in the world. His tactical expertise, organisational ability and motivational skills are second to none.

I have long said City lack depth in midfield, one change in either Toure or Fernandinho, and City are forced to play Demichelis higher up the pitch. I still feel Rodwell should have gotten a chance. Granted Javi Garcia was out, but I think he's a terrible footballer. 

Chelsea can rotate Ramires, Matic, Mikel, Luiz without becoming a poorer team. Likewise, Arsenal can rotate Ramsey, Wilshere, Flamini, Arteta without becoming a poorer team. City cant do that, its either Toure or Fernandino play together, or they are instantly poorer if they are forced to play Garcia or a make shift Demichelis. 

I guess whilst everyone was wetting themselves over their strike force, the lack of depth in midfield was missed.
