What Will Awake This European Giant?

What has happened to this, once great, fantastic team - Ac Milan. No one sees AC Milan anymore as a big threat. Gone are the days when clubs hated playing against this European giant; having won the UCL 7 times.  In their last five UEFA CL seasons, they finished in the round of 16 except 2011/2012 season where they got to the quarter finals and was sent home by Barcelona on a 3-1 aggregate.

Even in the recent UEFA CL draw, most clubs couldn’t have been bothered playing against them in the round of 16 stage. They finished second in their group after Barcelona with 9 points, being drawn with Athletico Madrid in the just concluded UCL draw.

In the league – Serie A – they are tenth on the table. They’ve conceded 25 goals and they proceed to meet Inter Milan on Sunday who has conceded 21 goals already this season and are 5th on the table.

In their last 5 games, Inter Milan have lost just a game, drawn three and won one, while Ac Milan have won two and drawn three games.

In their last 5 head to head meetings, Inter Milan has won four of it and drawn one, leaving Ac Milan with no wins.

Will Ac Milan continue in this shabby record against their homie, Inter Milan?
