Tottenham's defensive record is something to admire that's for sure, but they really need to sacrifice some of that for a bit of creativity in the final third.

There's two fantastic wingers in Lennon and Townsend, but their first instinct is to take on their man and either cross or shoot. Holtby lacks that incisive pass and is more of a link man. Sandro and Paulinho are extremely effective in ball-winning and retention but again, not a lot of creativity there.
Soldado thrives on balls down the sides of the defenders to utilise his movement, pace and instinctive finishing. At the moment, I can't see Spurs improving on a battle for 4th spot.

You can't just add 5-7 players to a squad that's just getting familiar with the manager's tactics and expect them to gel. I do wonder how these coaches think at times.
