Xabi Alonso Out Of Spain's Confederation Cup

Xabi Alonso was announced to have undergone surgery on a groin injury and will definitely be out of action for six to eight weeks. This was alleged by Real Madrid on their official website.

According to Madrid statement, "Real Madrid player Xabi Alonso was successfully operated on this morning for an athletic pubalgia". 

And because of this, Xabi Alonso won't be joining his colleagues at the Spain's Confederations Cup and would be out for close to 2 months.

The mid-fielder made 47 appearances in all competitions for Madrid in 2012 - 13.This is one player that knows the game, has the passes and finds his goal.
