Be Gone Mister!!!
As much as I understand the sacking of Di Canio - it was pretty obvious that it was going to happen at some point this season. The Sunderland-board should take a long hard look at themselves.
They brought in a controversial character who was clearly tactically inept, then gave him a free hand in the transfer market where he brought in 14 new players, and then sack him five games in to a new season. Doesn't make any sense if you ask me.
I mean, what were they expecting? Magic?? You brought in 14 new players and you just wanted to be up there? ...But I must say. Nine points from 13 Premier League-games combined with his bizarre personality (some of the stuff he's been saying about his own players - his own club - has been unacceptable) is enough to worry anyone.
Its really going to be hard getting a 'perfect' replacement because the next coach will have to deal with so many things. Players moral, getting them out of the relegation zone, making them familiar with each other and all. All I can say is goodluck to whoever gets to take the role.
