Well.. I'd say Bale is worth 85m to Real Madrid for marketing reasons...... As a footballer, he is not. Spurs need to grab that cash and the reason for that is bale was only worth 4 assists and 23 goals last year...

No matter how good you think Bale is, that was his contribution. In addition to this, he scored 9 long range efforts which was more than any other player in Europe. According to opta stats, long range efforts are very much a 'hit and miss' stat that vary greatly each season. In other words, Bale according to the stats is very highly unlikely to score this amount of long range efforts. So the question now is, should Tottenham replace 4 assists and 23 goals with £85m and the answer is an astounding YES. Without even dipping into that cash, they are likely to sign a very good winger or maybe a supporting striker who can help Soldado upfront.  In addition to this, you look at Ronaldo who when transferred had scored 40+ goals in a season for United. Cavani who has just gone for 55m has also scored an incredible amount of goals, and also Falcao. Is Bale really as good as these players and if so why? Sell, sell, sell, SELLLLL !!!!!!
