What Goes Around Comes Around

This time last season, it was Man Utd that was un-settling a key player for Arsenal in Robin Van Persie. Now the table has turned and it is the existence of same Van Persie that now makes Rooney wanna leave.

I don't see the point in United keeping an un-happy player anyway. History has taught us that if a player wants to leave, then the club has no choice but cash on him. I believe some United fans are already wishing bad on him but like it or not, he will still remain England's number one striker...

His goal in Brazil is still an example of what he can bring to the table. Whatever happens, I think it is a lose lose for United. Will David Moyes keep an un-happy that earns as much as 250k weekly? or will he rather sell to Chelsea and strengthen the opposition? I see a lose lose situation here. I don't expect reasonable United fans to be so bitter because Arsenal were made to go through the same trauma last season and same thing is coming back to haunt them.

Can you imagine the pains Arsenal fans went through each time V.Persie scores for United? Even as a Liverpool fan, it was a bitter pill to swallow at times. This was a player Arsenal nursed for countless season and when they began to reap the fruits of their labour, then Man United came and lured him away with their big ego. You can't have it your way all the time, that's just the way it is.

In all honesty, I'm pretty much enjoying what Mourinho is doing to them. He's making Moyes's job more difficult by further unsettling Rooney and if Man U decides against selling him they are left with an unhappy player damaging team morale.

  1. I actually feel this is not the same situation as Van Persie's last year. Van Persie wasn't unhappy for personal reasons, he only had a desire to achieve more which I feel should be the aim of every wise footballer. So if u're gonna compare the two situations, u're gonna have to ask yourself if Rooney wld bag more trophies at Chelsea and that is very much in doubt as far as I'm concerned. That said, Keeping Rooney in d team regardless of his personal status I feel is d best option for United. Whether he's playing or not, speaking as a United fan, I'd rather have him in d club rotting on d bench than selling him to a rival. We must not forget that Wazza's a world class striker. Man Utd have money and don't require jack from his sales to fund any transfer (we're not Barcelona, scuppering for funds all over the place). So Rooney MUST stay, except of course we're signing both Ronaldo and Bale then he can go... #EnoughSaid #MUFC
