Former Brazilian player and Sporting Director for PSG, Leonardo, has finally resigned from his post. 

Leonardo who was given 9 months ban in May and later extended to 13 months ruling him completely out of duty next season for pushing the referee who officiated the match involving PSG vs Valenciennes of which Thiago Silva was handed a red card has decided to end his rule in PSG as Sporting Director...

PSG said: "We regret his choice but respect his decision and wish him all the best for his future career choice."

He was filmed using his shoulder to make contact with referee Alexandre Castro in the tunnel after being angered by Thiago Silva's dismissal. He appealed but was then banned from all official duties until 30 June, 2014.

The French champions were also given a suspended three-point deduction for the 2013-14 campaign.

Leonardo will officially leave the club at the end of August..wish him luck in his future endeavours.
