Reason Leicester City's Jamie Vardy Is The Wrong Choice For Arsenal.

While Arsenal fans are jubilating already concerning the news on the purported sale of the South Yorkshire forward to Arsenal, Arsenal fans are quick to forget that the striker might have been impressive at Arsenal but that his play might not suit that of the Gunners as it stands.
Vardy is a forward who cannot play alone in attack depending so much on his strike partner to supply him the balls to run to. This is shown when one watches Leicester City in action as Japanese Okazaki was his strike partner and the one who gave him chances from aerial duels, hold up or knock down.
Vardy would not thrive in an Arsenal team that priorities ball possession as his pace would not be taking advantage of in that occasion. With the likes of Riyad Mahrez and N'Golo Kante, Leicester played with less of the ball quickly turning defence into attack with the duo pushing the ball forward quickly at any given opportunity using the pace of Vardy to torment the opposing defence and catching them unawares.
According to stat, Leicester were the 16th team based on ranking that held unto possession the least shows just how efficient this tactics and strategy played into the hands of the likes of Vardy. Even with the Three Lions where the English man currently played in the friendlies , the English man plays with a second striker in Tottenham's Harry Kane which has helped his course and turned him to world class.
With Vardy in attack, Arsenal will lose the aerial threat which Oliver Giroud provides the team, with his knock downs favouring the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck. What this means is that Arsenal will solely depend on the finishing of the Leiecsster City player which might be difficult due to the fact that the English forward might be regularly caught offside as the Gunners like to push their opponents into their opponents third half therefore making them play defensive hence Vardy having no space to run into.
With 24 league goals, Vardy is too good to be overlooked but surely the Gunners manager must change his tactics and formation to accommodate two strikers with different features like Oliver Giroud and Jamie Vardy. The problem with this is that it will leave the Gunners short of a man in midfield as it will change the formation from 4-2-3-1 to 4-4-2 but that would be overcome with a quick transition from defence to attack as the Gunners would play a little defensively and attack intensively and precisely.
Until that is planned out and done , the Arsenal fans should not expect much from the successful move of Jamie Vardy to their club if it happens.
