33 years old, performances starting to dip, out of contract in the summer, at a struggling club and getting plenty of criticism and along came a ridiculously wealthy club in a fashionable (and sunny) part of the world to offer you a stupendous retirement fund in a tax free wonderland surrounded by beautiful girls, fast cars and super yachts to boot.
He's done the business at Leverkeusen, Spurs, United and for a short time at Fulham so why not ride into the sunset of sub 5k crowds?
Bar PSG, he's good enough for any side in France so will also score a few goals along the way and can spend his free time sucking on Gauloises and quaffing Champagne.
