Serie A Round 8 Preview
Football fans in Italy don’t have to wait until Saturday before
they have to see their beloved teams play. It all starts on Friday evening with
first and second placed Roma and Napoli respectively coming to lock horns at
the Stadio Olimpico If someone had told me at the beginning of the season that
this match would see the winner top the
table at the weekend, I would have checked to see if the person just finished smoking 'weed' .
Roma has been in a fantastic form this season winning all of their 7 matches in the league, scoring 20 goals and conceding just one [The best defense in
the top 5 European leagues] and they face a rejuvenated Napoli side who have
been impressive with only 2 points separating them from the league leaders.
Milan would hope to come back to winning ways after winning
just 1 in their last 5 matches when they face 8th placed Udinese but
they would have to do so without Balotelli.
Juventus who are the 2nd form team behind Roma in
the Serie A face Fiorentina away from home and would hope to capitalize on any
slip up from Roma and/or Napoli this weekend.
Inter Milan would hope to bounce back after their
humiliating defeat against Roma at home when they face 9th placed
Torino on Sunday. Other matches see Cagliar face Catania at home, Atlanta vs
Lazio, Genoa vs Chievo, Verona vs Parma, Livorno vs Sampdoria and a bottom of
the table clash between Sassuolo and Bologna, both yet to register a win this
season.
