Is Ozil Arsenal's Best Signing? No!!!

Before football loving fans (Arsenal fans especially) devour me at seeing the topic of this write up, please be patient enough to go through my reasons.

Mesut Ozil is a fantastic player, the best No.10 in the world, Mourinho described him and it was an action of intent for the Gunners to have gone all out to pay such an amount (£42.4m) for a player bought at £12.4m 3 years ago...

He can be said to have the highest assist over the past 3 seasons in the top 5 European Leagues but this assists could have been mere passes if not for the goal scoring instinct the Real Madrid attackers possess but can Arsenal boast of the same thing among their attackers?

Ozil is a top top player as Wenger would say but he does not possess the attribute that Arsenal attacking midfielders don't have already in Cazorla, Wilshere, Rosicky.

So I think Flamini is the best Arsenal signing in that he brings that so much needed ruggedness to the Gunners midfield and can fill anywhere across the defence and yet he was gotten for nothing remember?

Though Ozil is a fantastic addition to the team but the money could have easily be spent on other areas of the team short in number and Arsenal fans would be hoping this is not a one season show.

  1. Ozil's impact is more than just on the pitch. Realise that this signing, together with his transfer fee will show a sign of intent from d manager n d board, and will provide d much needed momentum and confidence that d rest of d team needs. Also, it will make other potential signings more interested in joining Arsenal, as we have seen that it has been a major problem in d market 4 d gunners. He will also bring in financial fortunes as it has been reported that he's selling more shirts than madrid's Gareth bale who cost more than double. Finally, it has gotten the fans back in support of the club and manager. So he's not just Arsenal's best, but also the window's best signing. *clears throat* U should really consider hiring me as a writer... Stanlae Stones @bigheadeddude

  2. Agree with that opinion. Flamini's at best a gamble. Arsenal do need a holding midfielder to get dirty, granted... but when you bring in a player with the outstanding intelligence of Mesut, you give yourself a massive lift. Regardless of whoever was in the team, Ozil just makes it a lot better.
