Watch Out For Man City

Great start by City - they looked threatening throughout (although it was made a little easier by Newcastle going down to 10 men after Steven Taylor's red card) and I was most impressed with the way the front men fought for the ball in Newcastle's half...

 

Aguero, Dzeko, Navas & Silva all seemed to have a lot of running in them and wanted the ball. A real change from last season just in the body language though. Of course it's still too early to say anything and titles aren't won in August, but Pellegrini seems to have brought some cohension & unity, as well as buying talents.

I'll be interested to see how Navas settles over the season - for years his talent has been well know but the people always say that he couldn't really cope away from Spain (a bit like Reyes who was immense in Spain but mostly poor for Arsenal) but he looked excellent during the match against Newcastle. Don't think one of his crosses went astray and sure that wasn't just luck!
