Rooney To Tottenham ???

So I was just going through the transfer news and something popped up...

Guys what do you think about offering Rooney + £20m to Tottenham to get Bale? I mean let's look at this very well. Tottenham looks like they need a top striker and even though they're a great side they aren't quite our rivals for the title like Chelsea and Manchester City. We really need a fine winger who can get amongst the goals...

Young is constantly injured (and not that great) and Nani who has refused to improve is probably leaving so we're left with a Valencia and Zaha who's yet to be proven in the premier league. Rooney's goals and work ethics (when fit and in form) could definitely help them get a top 4 finish more comfortably. And what's better than having a player who knows what it takes to win? Bale has been great for Tottenham but even so, they haven't exactly been winning trophies or becoming CL regulars.

And it doesn't look like they can do any better this season. Though they have a very solid midfielder but you need more than that to conquer the likes of the City, Chelsea, Arsenal and all. Bale at United would push us to another level.

 So would Rooney at Tottenham, so any deal could be a good one for both clubs. Thoughts?
