Money Talks !!!!

The transfer market is now as competitive as ever, with more super rich clubs springing up, soaking up the big talent. Buy out clauses were supposed to deter other clubs away. Not anymore.

£50 mill? There you go. Keep the change. All exciting for the fans. But you've got to wonder where this is eventually going to end up. A European super league? It looks closer than it did before. The top of the domestic European league tables is looking more & more familiar with the usual suspects jockeying for the top positions, leaving a gulf behind them...
Transfer fees and wages are skyrocketing. Agents are laughing all the way to the bank. And the hard working fan is now struggling to even watch his team play. (Arsenal fans know this). Thankfully the likes of Dortmund still prove to us that you don't need a big sugar daddy to be successful. But something still has to be done.

What then of the fair play regs?? I don't know enough about them, but there seems to be concern about whether they'll have any bite. Perhaps this is all scaremongering. Maybe the early years are used to inject large amounts of cash to increase the status of the club. Once completed, the revenues increase and the clubs become less dependent on their owner. But then, the other clubs are still left behind.

Even the football academies don't seem to be relevant these days. I mean, just look at man city, PSG etc. So its just crazy. If your club is not owned by a big sugar daddy, just don't bother bidding. Even if a club like Sunderland bids £5mil for a player, then maybe a club like Real Madrid do a research on that player & see that he's what they need. Baaam! They drop £15mil. Before you know it, the player is gone to Madrid.

So as you can see, this life is just a Pot Of Burnt Beans.
