Brazil lifts the 2013 Confederations Cup 

Amazing !!! Yes! That's what many people would have thought after watching the Brazilians display a Top notch performance. The players were sensational. The fans at the Maracana stadium won't forget this match anytime soon..

Many people would have thought the Spaniards were coming to the Maracana stadium to set the records straight but the Brazilians showed us they had something better. Spain had more of the possession but the flair, pace and technicality contributed to the success of the selecaos..perfect goal timing and also the ability to absorb pressure was the key to the Brazilians victory...Two goals from Fred & a lovely finish by the new Barca boy(Neymar) was enough to win Brazil the Confederation's Cup for a record 3 times...

Spain initially got destabilized for a moment when Brazil got the early goal after just 2 mins but with time, they were able to get themselves together and pass the ball around like they usually do but the final pass that could lead to their equaliser became a problem and that cost them the game today because the Brazilians got them on the counter and capitalized on that. Guess you can say the Brazilian coach watched the Italy Vs Spain match to a point he felt he knew how to stop the opponent's style of play(tiki-taka). You just have to notice the way the Brazilians were closing down the Spaniards with their aggressive tackles & always wanting to engage them in an argument.

Neymar who some say is overrated has finally silenced his critics with a wonderful performance which he capped it with a goal in the match and also a golden ball for his outstanding performance in the tournament.

Maybe the home advantage contributed to the Brazilians winning the trophy, we shall find out next year.
